With talks of the NFL Playoff expanding as early as the 2015 season, Commissioner Roger Goodell talks Monday Night Football.
NFL owners have the choice to vote on whether or not the NFL will add two more teams, one from each conference, to the playoffs. Goodell raised one issue that the NFL could possible run into: the format for games that occur during the opening weekend of the postseason.
The Washington Post reported that the league currently appears to favor playing one Monday night playoff game, two on Saturday and three games on Sunday.
The owners will meet later this month, playoff expansion will be one of the topics entertained; in order for the expansion to happen the owners would have to have 24 of 32 votes unfavorable the change.
