Last Night in Philly, the 76ers recognized NBA great Allen Iverson by retiring his jersey at halftime. Iverson better know as AI or the Answer officially retired in March of 2013 although his last games in the NBA where in 2010; he played 25 games that season ending his career where he started: Philadelphia. AI's jersey, is now hanging in the 76ers rafters between Maurice Cheeks and Charles Barkley.
The half time ceremony included taped videos from former coaches, including Larry Brown, and a highlight reel of Iverson's most remarkable moments. As a retirement gift, Iverson was presented with a fishing boat that was respectively coined "The Answer".
Iverson was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1996 draft and spent his first 10 seasons with the 76ers. He also played for Denver, Detroit, and Memphis before returning to Philadelphia for 25-games to end his career.
Iverson finished his career with numerous accolades including: 1997 Rookie of the Year, 2001 NBA MVP, 4-time NBA Scoring Champion,and he made 11 appearances as an NBA All-Star claiming the MVP honors twice.
