Brian Clinard, Sports Information
Director/Mentor
While interning with Spalding Athletics, I will be working directly with the Sports Information Director: Brian Clinard. Brian has been the Sports Information Director with Spalding Athletics since July of 2012. Prior to taking on the position of SID, Brian received his Bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration (SPAD) from the University of Louisville and had served as a sports information intern under his predecessor. While earning his bachelor’s at UofL Brian worked with UofL’s SPAD Club and Vector Sports and Entertainment to conduct market research for Kentucky Speedway at the inaugural Quaker Stake 400. Brian also worked on planning committee’s for the 2012 University of Louisville SPAD Speaker Summit and 2011 Ronald McDonald House Louisville Cornhole Cup.

Spalding University Athletics
Spalding University is a member institution of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC), which plays host to 9 other institutions in Missouri, Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois; the university and its conference members are sanctioned by NCAA Division III guidelines. In the fall of 2008 The Golden Eagles of Spalding University were admitted to the SLIAC and were allowed to begin conference play in the 2009-2010 season. Prior to joining the SLIAC the Spalding was a member institution of the NAIA’s Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
